About image
CPAP is currently the most effective and best accepting treatment for sleep apnea. CPAP delivers pressurized air to the airway through a mask and tubing. The airflow pushes away the obstructing tissues and acts as a “pneumatic split” to keep the airway open. As a result, when CPAP is being used during sleep, normal breathing and sleep can be restored.

Obstructive Sleep Apnea image
Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a sleep disorder that causes a person to stop breathing repeatedly during sleep. Recurrent pauses in breathing may cause reduction of oxygen going to the lungs, affecting oxygen supply to other vital organs. This chronic condition can cause damages to organs, especially to the brain and heart.

In addition medical problems, sleep apnea also can cause a variety of symptoms such as snoring and poor quality of sleep. These symptoms may lead to a decrease in the quality of life.
